Torrent Spain Group operates four manufacturing plants that lead the manufacturing process for aluminum, plastic, and cork stoppers. Located in Jerez de la Frontera and El Puerto de Santa María, in the province of Cádiz, the central factories produce bottle tops for sectors including Extra Virgin Olive Oil, spirits, and wines. The strategic positioning of our production plants in Southern Europe enhances the distribution of our bottle tops both nationally and internationally.

The El Puerto de Santa María factory specializes in manufacturing non-refillable plastic closures  for EVOO, spirits, and liquors, as well as producing all the plastic components required for aluminum and cork closures. Torrent Group is the world’s leading manufacturer of closures for Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the second for spirits and liquors.

In addition to producing non-refillable plastic closures and components for other types of closures of Torrent Group Spain, the El Puerto de Santa María factory also houses the R&D&I and Innovation, Engineering, Injection Molding, and Administration Departments. They are the cornerstone of the production of non-refillable and Ad Hoc closures.

Torrent Spain Group´s Eco-Responsible Corporate Mission

In line with our ethos of eco-responsibility, the raw materials utilized for our closure manufacturing across all Torrent’s Spanish plants are 100% recyclable. Moreover, a significant proportion of our machinery operates without hydraulic oil, making them fully sustainable. Furthermore, we ensure the regeneration of all gases emitted by the varnishes and inks used to decorate our closures. In doing so, we adhere to existing regulations, preventing atmospheric pollution.

Our aluminum and cork closure production plants, as well as lithography, are located in Jerez. From here, we oversee all commercial activities of Grupo Torrent in Spain, both domestically and internationally. This location also houses our graphic design department. The Jerez aluminum closure plant specializes in producing seals for liqueurs, Extra Virgin Olive Oils, wines (ROPP), and water.

We manufacture cork stoppers for premium products, liqueurs, and wines. In 2018, marking our centennial celebration, we incorporated cork stopper production into our operations, thanks to the acquisition of a flagship company linked to the Torrent Spain family. Our cork factory primarily produces stoppers for liqueurs, premium products, and fortified wines. These prominent closures, made from natural cork, micro-granulated, and agglomerated, featuring zamak, bakelite, wood, or plastic tops, are notable for their user-friendliness.
