Torrent East Africa
In 2017, Torrent Group strengthened its position in the global market for closure solutions, thanks toTorrent East Africa, our production plant in Nairobi, Kenya. The 8,850m2 Torrent East Africa facility allows our group to better serve the customers of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and thereby enhance production by reducing manufacturing costs and shipping expenses.
Torrent East Africa, Our manufacturing Plant in Kenya
We currently produce the Nip model of security stopper at Torrent East Africa. This plastic closure solution is easily applied vertically to the bottle. However, if there is an attempt to tamper with or remove the caps, indicative of counterfeiting or refilling, they will be destroyed, thereby evidencing if the bottle has been previously opened. The security measures are excellent, thanks to the internal anchoring ring, laser decoration, and LST.
Nip bottle tops offer great versatility in their decoration, promoting the exclusivity of their design. Thus, we add value to our closures and meet our clients’ needs regarding their product packaging. Nip bottle tops can be decorated in multiple colors on the top and side, and are conducive to embossed engravings on the top and bas-relief on the side. It is also possible to decorate the opening tab of these closures.
Torrent East Africa Puts a Stop to Counterfeiting and Refilling
Furthermore, the closures we manufacture at our Torrent East Africa production plant can be treated with smart inks in the decorative process and also laser technology. This makes it easy to identify if the stopper has been tampered with previously. All this represents a significant deterrent to counterfeiting and refilling.
Our goal is to prevent the counterfeiting and refilling of liquors to avoid the high rates of intoxication that occur on the African continent.
For Torrent Group, our Torrent East Africa plant is an ambitious international project that reaffirms our company policy and philosophy of always being close to our customers.
